| Towcester is an unconverted motor which was built in 1937 by W.J. Yarwood and Sons of Northwich for the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company, before entering the British Waterways nationalised fleet in 1948. She was then owned by T&D Murrells during the 1970s and was regularly loaded. |  |

Brinklow Boat Services rebuilt Towcester in 2000 which included a new baseplate and a new riveted back cabin and engine room. Towcester now continues to trade on the Grand Union Canal. |
